General
Hughes & Kettner have made it life even easier for Grandmeister 36 Head users. It was already possible to operate it using the GM 36 Remote App, but now you can control it wirelessly via this WMI-1 wireless MIDI interface. The wireless interface connects optimally with the Grandmeister 36 with a 7-pin MIDI input with phantom power. It's also possible to connect the WMI-1 to other Hughes & Kettner amps that have the same MIDi input and other iPad apps that support CoreMIDI.
Hughes & Kettner WMI-1: editing, Wi-Fi, WPS and MIDI
The WMI-1 allows you to operate all parameters including level, gain, EQing and reverb via your iPad that runs on iOS 7 or higher, which is ideal when there is no Wi-Fi available. In fact, the WMI-1 creates its own Wi-Fi network. You can also use the WPS function of this interface in your home network setup. Connect a MIDI foot controller like the FSM 432 MK 3, for instance, using the MIDI inputs. In collaboration with Synergetik GmbH, Hughes & Kettner have developed the special WMI Connect app for the WMI-1 which you can download for free from the iTunes store!

Probleem met iOS 14 is opgelost. De update naar iOS 14.2 herstelde de verbinding weer. Ik kan weer verder.
Tout fabord, délai au top ! 3 jours ! Emballage idem.
Le wmi-1 est très simple dutilisation. On le branche à lampli grâce aux 2 câbles fournis, on branche la pedale au wmu-1, il ne reste plus quà sélectionner le wifi du boîtier et à ouvrir le soft pour assurer la connexion ( fourni sur le site H&k)
Des lors à louverture du software fourni également sur le site H&k cest magique !!!
Lampli en virtuel et les réglages deviennent plus simples et plus fins. Le gros plus : la sauvegarde et lattriBut ion dun nom dans la banque de presets.
Je conseille fortement après avoir utilisé 20 ans un ampli à modélisation, la cest du bonheur !

If you have a iOS laptop, iPad and you are gadget geek you'll love this little thing (combined with the control app) cause it adds so much fun and multiple the possibilities of using the amps it works with, to a new high level. Connection is relatively easy but you have to install the connection app as well as the control app don't mess one with other they're two different things. It's a plastic but surely robust enough for long use. Didn't like much the fact that it needs its own app to connect, but after all it creates its own wi-fi spot if no internet around. So that said only five stars no less.
